Today a simple act of thoughtfulness really turned the day around. Sometimes a little thing can make all the difference.
Make new friends, but keep the old;
Those are silver, these are gold.
New-made friendships, like new wine,
Will age, mellow and refine.
Friendships that have stood the test -
Time and change - are surely best;
Brow may wrinkle, hair grow gray,
Friendship never knows decay.
For 'mid old friends, tried and true,
Once more will our youth renew.
But old friends, alas! may die,
New friends must their place supply.
Cherish friendship in your breast-
New is good, but old is best;
Make new friends, but keep the old;
Those are silver, these are gold.

Just checking your blog Kim, and love seeing the pictures and reading about all you are doing. Thanks for posting that poem. You always hear the first part about "make new friends, but keep the old..."it was good to read the whole thing. Good luck with the potty training. Sounds like she is ready.
